Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support customer service, prescription processing, and clinical services within our in-store pharmacy.

You will assist patients in person and by phone, determine medication prices, and help with third-party billing and inventory control. Prerequisites include enrollment in an accredited pharmacy program and state-specific intern licensure, along with strong communication, organization, and dependability.

Qualifications

Enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school.
Pharmacy Intern License (state specific).
Positive attitude and excellent communication.
Organizational and customer service skills.
Team-oriented mindset and dependability.

Responsibilities

Customer service.
Communicating with patients in person and via telephone; assisting patients with product selection; obtaining medication prices (internally and from competitors) pursuant to patient requests.
Processing and filling prescriptions.
Using pharmacy computer system for prescription data entry & third party adjudication; pulling correct products; counting and labeling prescriptions.
Third-party functions.
Inventory management.
Updating balance on hand; product ordering; Meijer codes; receiving and stocking orders; vendor charge backs and transfers.
Clinical services.
