Job summary

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree from an accredited educational institution prior to the start date.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy in the states within the district within 90 days of hire per district guidelines.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on usage, side effects, interactions, and generics; ensures medication is taken correctly.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures the pharmacy operates in accordance with regulations, company policies and standards; assists with efficient workflow and shift duties.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy systems and proposes enhancements to promote productivity.
• Follows up on insurance claims and coordinates with medical providers to resolve issues.
