Job summary

Walgreens Boots Alliance in Kingman, AZ is seeking a post-graduate pharmacy trainee to engage in supervised pharmacy activities, provide customer guidance on medication use, and support immunization and preventive health services.

You will assist in compounding, dispensing, review and verification of prescriptions while upholding regulatory guidelines and company policies to enhance customer care and pharmacy operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university outside the United States.
• Foreign Pharmacist Graduate Equivalency Certificate (FPGEC).
• Intern permit/certificate issued by the respective Board of Pharmacy, if required?
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy in the states within the district within 45 days of completion of intern hours.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on usage of medications, interactions, and generics; references as needed.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Reviews, interprets and dispenses prescribed medications when workload requires.
• Ensures compliance with regulations, policies, and pharmacy procedures; assists with workflow and inventory.
