Job summary

Walgreens Boots Alliance is seeking a pharmacy trainee to engage in post-graduate pharmacy activities under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will provide counseling on medication usage, interactions and preventive health services such as immunizations.

You will assist with compounding, dispensing, review and verification under regulatory guidelines and company policies to ensure safe, effective care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an accredited university outside the United States.
• Foreign Pharmacist Graduate Equivalency Certificate (FPGEC) or equivalent.
• Intern permit/certificate and willingness to obtain licensure within 45 days.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medication usage, side effects and interactions under supervision.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews and verification.
• Reviews and dispenses prescribed medications verifying accuracy and safety.
• Supports pharmacy operations, inventory management and policy compliance.
• Participates in community events and supports customer experience initiatives.
• Engages in immunizations and preventive health services as part of care.
