Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacist to provide medication consultation, verify prescriptions, and ensure safety and compliance. You will counsel customers, perform immunizations, and support retail and clinical services to improve patient outcomes.

You will help manage workflow, assist with inventory and KPI reviews, and collaborate with the pharmacy team and local providers. A PharmD and active licensure are required; immunizer certification or willingness to obtain it is needed.

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the state boards within the district within 90 days of hire.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides pharmacy consulting services to customers regarding medications, interactions, and preventive healthcare services.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures pharmacy operations comply with regulations and policies; opening/closing, shift changes, and optimizing workflow.
