Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to gain hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting. You will work under a preceptor to apply didactic learning to real-world practice, learn store and district operations, and contribute to safe, efficient prescription fulfillment.

You will develop skills in patient counseling, immunization support, and collaboration with pharmacists and technicians while remaining compliant with SOPs and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled safely and accurately.
• Provide empathetic customer service at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone.
• Counsel patients and obtain necessary medical history under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Assist with immunizations and point-of-care activities where allowed by state regulation.
• Support inventory activities, safety procedures, and SOP compliance.
