Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic learning to real-world practice in a CVS Retail setting. Under a preceptor, you will follow a structured training roadmap and gain exposure to store, district, and regional operations while helping ensure timely, safe prescription fulfillment.

You will learn to operate as part of the pharmacy team, applying SOPs, delivering empathic patient care, and supporting immunization services and other patient health programs as permitted

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focused on KLEs and increasing responsibility.
• Follow SOPs at each workstation to support pharmacists and technicians.
• Assist with dispensing, patient interactions, immunizations, and clinical services as allowed.
• Counsel patients, obtain medical history information, and respond to questions when appropriate.
• Support inventory, scheduling, and initiative-taking to improve patient care.
