Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to support pharmacy teams in our retail locations across the United States. You will apply didactic learning to real-world practice, under the direction of a preceptor, and gain exposure to store, district, and regional operations.

You will complete a structured training roadmap with hands-on experience, SOP adherence, and a focus on safe, accurate prescription filling and compassionate patient service.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacy team to ensure smooth operations, accurate prescriptions, and patient-centered service.
• Follow SOPs and pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation.
• Provide immunizations and point‑of‑care services where allowed by state regulations and training.
• Counsel patients, obtain relevant medical history when appropriate under supervision, and address questions.
• Assist with inbound telephonic prescriptions and coordination with prescribers when needed.
• Participate in inventory activities and support loss prevention per policy.

ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy

Intern/Technician licensure in progress
