Job summary

CVS Health in Urbandale, IA is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic learning in real-world pharmacy practice under a pharmacist preceptor. You will work to ensure accuracy and safety in dispensing, while learning store, district, and regional operations.

You will counsel patients, handle telephonic prescriptions when needed, support immunizations, and participate in inventory and SOP adherence, while developing toward increasing responsibility.

Qualifications

• ACPE-accredited pharmacy program enrollment
• Valid intern/technician licensure in progress or obtained as required

Responsibilities

• Apply didactic learning to real-world practice under a preceptor
• Assist pharmacy team to ensure timely, safe, accurate prescriptions
• Follow SOPs and maintain patient safety
• Provide counseling and answer medical questions under supervision
• Support immunizations and vaccines where allowed
• Participate in inventory activities and cycle counts
