Job summary

CVS Health in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a third-year Pharmacy Intern to translate classroom learning into real-world practice within a busy retail pharmacy. You will work under a licensed pharmacist to deliver patient‑centered care, follow SOPs, and contribute to a safe, efficient pharmacy operation.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
• Ability to immunize; certification to be obtained per state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs to assist pharmacists and technicians in patient care.
• Fulfill prescriptions safely and accurately in pharmacy workflow.
• Counsel patients and answer medical questions under supervision.
• Assist with immunizations and point‑of‑care testing where allowed.
• Assist with inventory and cycle counts; maintain stock and records.
• Travel to stores in the market to cover shifts as needed.
