Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to join our retail pharmacy team. This role focuses on applying didactic learning in real-world practice under a licensed pharmacist, following a comprehensive training roadmap and SOPs to ensure safe, accurate prescription fulfillment and compassionate patient service.

You will gain hands-on experience across pharmacy operations, immunizations, and patient counseling while supporting the pharmacy team and learning store, district, and regional

Qualifications

• ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy is required or in process of obtaining licensure.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focused on Key Learning Experiences (KLEs).
• Assist pharmacists and technicians to ensure prescription fulfillment is safe and accurate.
• Demonstrate empathy and genuine care in patient interactions at pick-up, drive-thru, and phone.
• Counsel patients when appropriate and obtain necessary information for optimal care.
• Take telephonic prescriptions and, when allowed, clarify prescriptions with prescribers.
• Provide in‑the‑moment coaching and mentoring to pharmacy team members.

Education

ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy

Valid intern and/or technician licensure
