Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply classroom learning in a real-world retail setting. You will work under a pharmacist preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap, supporting the pharmacy team to ensure safe, accurate prescription fulfillment and excellent patient care.

You’ll gain hands‑on experience across store operations, immunizations, and customer interactions while developing the skills needed for progression to a pharmacist role.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy and eligible for intern/technician licensure.
• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Willingness to learn and grow through a structured training roadmap.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs at each workstation to support pharmacists and technicians.
• Assist with safe and accurate prescription fulfillment and patient interactions.
• Counsel patients, field medical questions, and gather information on medical history as appropriate.
• Assist with immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, and off‑site clinic staffing where allowed.
• Handle telephonic prescriptions under pharmacist supervision and coordinate with prescribers as needed.
• Participate in inventory activities and support a high‑performing pharmacy team.
