Job summary

CVS Health invites enthusiastic 3rd year Pharmacy Interns to join our retail pharmacy teams, where you’ll apply didactic learning to real-world practice under a preceptor. You’ll gain hands-on experience across store, district, and regional operations while delivering safe, compassionate service to our patients.

You will learn to operate within SOPs, assist with immunizations and patient counseling, and develop skills toward taking on greater responsibility as you progress toward a Pharmacist

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure

Responsibilities

• Living CVS Health values by following SOPs at each workstation to help Pharmacists and Technicians manage patient health
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
• Assist patients with empathetic service, immunizations, and other pharmacy services as directed by a licensed pharmacist
• Counsel patients when appropriate under supervision to provide optimal care
• Handle telephonic prescriptions and clarify prescriptions with prescribers when allowed by state regulations
