Job summary

CVS Pharmacy in the United States seeks a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic learning from pharmacy school to real-world practice within our store teams. Under the direction of a preceptor, you will complete a comprehensive training roadmap, support pharmacy operations, and help ensure prescriptions are filled safely and accurately.

Qualifications

• ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy required or actively enrolled.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely and accurately.
• Learn and apply SOPs, demonstrate empathy in patient interactions, and support a safe, inclusive culture.
• Provide customer service and counseling where appropriate, and participate in immunization and other services as allowed by state regulations.
• Under supervision, assist with telephonic prescriptions and communication with prescribers.
