Job summary

CVS Health is offering a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern position in our Retail locations. You will apply classroom learning to real-world practice under a preceptor, following SOPs to ensure safe, accurate prescriptions and compassionate patient care.

You will gain hands-on experience through a training roadmap with key learning experiences, learn store, district, and regional operations, and support the pharmacy team with leadership and clinical growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess or be in the process of obtaining valid intern/technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs at each workstation to support Pharmacists and Technicians.
• Ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment through proper workflow.
• Demonstrate empathy and provide caring service while assisting patients.
• Counsel patients when appropriate and collect medical history information.
• Take telephonic prescriptions and clarify with prescribers as allowed by state law.
• Mentor pharmacy team members and support training initiatives.
• Assist with basic inventory and cycle counts under supervision.
• Travel to market stores to cover shifts as needed.
