Job summary

CVS Health in-store 3rd year Pharmacy Intern position focuses on applying didactic learning to real-world practice under a preceptor, completing a training roadmap, and gaining exposure to store, district, and regional operations.

You will assist the pharmacy team to ensure timely, safe, and accurate prescription fulfillment, follow SOPs, provide empathetic customer service, and may support immunizations and other services where allowed.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Living our purpose by following all SOPs at each workstation to help pharmacists and technicians manage patient health.
• Following pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment.
• Assist pharmacy team to ensure medications are provided safely, accurately, and with caring service.
• Counsel patients when appropriate and obtain relevant medical history to aid patient care, under supervision.
• Support immunizations and other services where allowed by state law and training.
• Maintain inventory and assist with stock management as directed by leadership.
• Demonstrate empathy, contribute to a safe and inclusive team culture, and be flexible to business needs.

ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy (enrolled/accepted)
