Job summary

Walgreens Boots Alliance in the United States is seeking a post-graduate pharmacy associate to perform supervised pharmacy duties, counseling patients, and supporting immunization and preventive health services.

You will assist with compounding, dispensing, review, and verification of medications while ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies. This role supports pharmacy workflow and customer experience improvements.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree from outside the United States.
• FPGEC certification.
• Intern permit/certificate as required by the state boards.
• Willingness to obtain licensure within 45 days after intern hours.
• Certified Immunizer or willingness to become one within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medication usage, side effects, interactions, and privacy.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification and medication management.
• Dispenses prescribed medications accurately and reviews for safety and appropriateness.
• Ensures regulatory compliance, company policies, and efficient workflow with pharmacy leadership.
• Maintains pharmacy systems knowledge and supports IT-driven productivity improvements.
• Collaborates with local healthcare providers and participates in community outreach.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (outside the United States)

FPGEC
