Job summary

Walgreens Boots Alliance seeks a pharmacy graduate to engage in post-graduate activities under supervision, helping fulfill State Board requirements and delivering patient counseling on medications and preventive care such as immunizations.

You will assist in compounding, dispensing, reviews, verification and medication management while supporting pharmacy workflow and inventory management to enhance customer experience, all within regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from accredited University outside the United States.
• FPGEC is required for foreign-trained pharmacists.
• Intern permit/certificate issued by the Board of Pharmacy may be required.
• Willingness to obtain licensure in the district within 45 days of intern hours.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Engages in post-graduate pharmacy activities under direct supervision to fulfill State Board requirements.
• Provides pharmacy consulting on medication usage, interactions, and preventive healthcare services (e.g., immunizations).
• Counsels patients regarding medication usage, side effects, interactions and privacy considerations; refers to medical provider when needed.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification and medication management.
• Reviews, interprets and accurately dispenses prescribed medications; ensures regulatory compliance and adherence to policies.
• Supports pharmacy workflow, inventory management and optimization of customer experience.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from accredited University outside the United States

Foreign Pharmacist Graduate Equivalency Certificate (FPGEC)

Intern permit/certificate issued by the respective Board of Pharmacy

Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the respective Board of Pharmacy in the states within the district within 45 days

Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire
