Job summary

Polaris Pharmacy Services of Illinois, LLC in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Fill Technician to accurately prepare prescriptions, including picking, labeling, scanning, and final preparation for pharmacist verification, while maintaining an organized workspace and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, pharmacy technician license/certification, and prior pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy technician license/certification required by state regulations.
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pull/pick medications from shelving and other storage areas.
• Accuracy check of final preparation before presenting to the pharmacist.
• Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently under pharmacist supervision.
• Assist in processing returned drugs and recycling/disposal per procedure.
• Assist in pre-packing frequently ordered medications; label and stock as needed.
• Package materials and products manually.
• Follow HIPAA regulations and maintain clean workstations.
• Overtime and weekend shifts may be required.
• Other duties as assigned; vary with business needs.
