Job summary

Polaris Pharmacy Services is seeking a Pharmacy Fill Technician to accurately prepare prescriptions, label and scan orders, and support pharmacists in verification. You will help maintain an organized workspace and ensure compliance with regulations across long-term care and specialty settings.

The role requires a High School diploma, active pharmacy technician licensure, and preferred prior long-term care experience. Some shifts may include extended hours or weekends.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations and state of practice.
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred (one or more years of long-term care experience preferred)

Responsibilities

• Pull/pick medications from shelving and other storage areas.
• Accuracy check of final preparation before presenting to the pharmacist.
• Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently under supervision of a pharmacist.
• Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure.
• Assist in pre-packing frequently ordered medications; label and stock as needed.
• Package materials and products manually.
• Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA.
• Maintain clean/organized workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies each shift.
• Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication/product not scanning properly.
• Comply with safety, attendance, and dress code policies.
• Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required and/or expected.
• Other duties as assigned; duties may vary with business needs.
