Job summary

Polaris Pharmacy Services is seeking a Pharmacy Fill Technician to accurately prepare prescriptions, label and scan orders, and assist the pharmacist with verification. Responsibilities include picking meds, maintaining an organized workspace, and ensuring regulatory compliance across long-term care and specialty settings.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and pharmacy tech licensure/certification.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of brand name and generic medications.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Pull/pick medications from shelving and storage areas.
• Accuracy check of final preparation before pharmacist verification.
• Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently.
• Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure.
• Assist in pre-packing frequently ordered medications; label and stock as needed.
• Package materials and products manually.
• Follow all regulations including HIPAA.
• Maintain clean/workstation and replenish stock each shift.
• Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication/product scanning issue.
• Adhere to safety, attendance, and dress code policies.
• Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required.
