Polaris Pharmacy Services is hiring a Pharmacy Fill Technician to accurately prepare prescriptions and support pharmacists in a fast-paced long-term care environment. The role emphasizes careful picking, labeling, scanning, and final preparation with strict attention to regulatory compliance.

The position involves maintaining an organized workspace, handling daily drug orders, and assisting with packaging and stock replenishment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations.
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred (long-term care preferred).

Responsibilities

• Pull/pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas (pre-pack racks).
• Accuracy check of final preparation before presenting to the pharmacist.
• Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently and in a timely and prioritized manner, under the supervision of a pharmacist.
• Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure.
• Assist in pre-packing frequently ordered medications; label and stock as needed during low-volume times.
• Package materials and products manually.
• Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA.
• Maintain clean/organized workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies.
• Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properly.
• Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.
• Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required and/or expected.
• Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary depending on business needs.
