Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or companion products to customers.
- Handles transactions at the cash register, including collecting cash, giving change, processing refunds, voids, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products within the store.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of shelves and counters, manages inventory, and records stock levels. Checks in and prices merchandise as directed.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and assisting pharmacists with workflow management.
- Reports prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist and adheres to company policies regarding pharmacy safety and quality standards.
- Follows all regulations related to pharmacy dispensing, including Good Faith Dispensing policies.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, including communication with physicians.
- Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports pharmacy inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and files claims for discrepancies or damages.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains store displays, including promotional and seasonal setups, and performs resets as needed.
- Assists with product placement and stock rotation, following store policies.
- Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Provides photo services, including passport photos, poster prints, and promotional products.
- Manages web order pickups, including monitoring, fulfilling, and delivering orders.
- Supports store cleanliness and maintenance efforts.
- Follows all company policies, maintains respectful coworker relationships, and completes assigned tasks.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and/or state registration as required.
- Attends training sessions, completes continuing education, and stays updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
Additional requirements include:
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
