Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale, including trade-up and/or companion items.
- Registers customer purchases, handles cash, processes refunds, returns, and exchanges, and assists customers in locating products.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of shelves and counters, manages inventory, and ensures proper pricing and merchandising.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information, assisting with prescription filling, verifying medication accuracy, and aiding in workflow management.
- Reports prescription errors immediately and adheres to company policies regarding pharmacy safety and quality standards.
- Handles non-urgent telephone inquiries, processes third-party prescription claims, and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports inventory management activities, including ordering and stocking pharmaceuticals, and maintains knowledge of asset protection techniques.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains store displays, assists with product placement, and manages stock rotation and product restocking.
- Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment, provides photo services, manages web order pickups, and assists with store cleanliness and maintenance.
- Follows all company policies, maintains respectful coworker relationships, and completes assigned tasks and special projects.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and/or state registration through ongoing training and continuing education.
- Attends training sessions, completes required coursework, and stays updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
