- Registers sales on assigned cash register, provides courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
- Assists the pharmacist, under supervision, in pharmacy practice, including using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and processing prescriptions.
Customer Experience
- Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance, resolving issues, and answering questions to ensure a positive experience.
- Shares customer service best practices with team members, including interpersonal habits and Walgreens service traits.
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
- Recommends products and assists customers in locating items.
- Handles transactions, including voids, returns, refunds, and exchanges, and assists customers in the OTC aisle.
- Keeps store areas clean and organized, takes inventory, and maintains records.
- Supports pharmacy activities, including entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and assisting with workflow.
- Reports prescription errors immediately and complies with pharmacy policies and codes of conduct.
- Handles telephone inquiries not requiring pharmacist attention, including calls to physicians.
- Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports pharmacy inventory management and maintains knowledge of asset protection techniques.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products.
- Constructs and maintains displays, completes resets, and assists with product placement and stock rotation.
- Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Provides customer service in the photo area and handles web pick-up responsibilities.
- Assists with store maintenance and adheres to company policies, fostering respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Completes assignments and tasks as directed.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and completes required training and continuing education.
- Stays informed about healthcare and pharmacy developments.
Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
