Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and trade-up or additional products to customers.
- Handles transactions at the cash register, including collecting cash, giving change, processing refunds, voids, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products within the store.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and ensures proper pricing and merchandising as directed by management.
- Supports pharmacy operations by assisting with entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying accuracy, and supporting pharmacists with workflow and scheduling.
- Immediately reports prescription errors to the pharmacist and complies with company policies regarding pharmacy safety and quality standards.
- Handles non-urgent pharmacy calls, processes third-party claims, and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, checking shipments, and maintaining proper storage and documentation for pharmaceuticals.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains retail displays, including promotional and seasonal setups, and resets merchandise as needed.
- Assists with product placement, stock rotation, and store cleanliness to ensure an organized shopping environment.
- Provides photo services, including passport photos and promotional printing, and manages web order pickups.
- Supports store maintenance and adheres to all company policies, fostering respectful relationships with coworkers.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification or relevant state certification through ongoing training and education.
- Participates in training sessions, completes required educational credits, and stays updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
- Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking) required, except in Puerto Rico.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
