Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and trade-up or complementary products to customers.
- Operates cash register to process transactions, including cash handling, voids, returns, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products within the store.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and records stock levels. Checks and prices merchandise as directed.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information into pharmacy systems, assisting with prescription filling, and verifying medication accuracy. Reports prescription errors immediately and adheres to pharmacy policies, including Good Faith Dispensing and the Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, processes third-party prescription claims, and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports pharmacy inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals. Maintains knowledge of asset protection procedures and reports discrepancies or damages.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains store displays, including promotional and seasonal setups, and performs resets as needed.
- Assists with product placement and stock rotation, ensuring adherence to store policies.
- Operates store systems and equipment competently.
- Provides photo services, including passport photos and promotional products, and manages web order pickups.
- Supports store cleanliness and organization, maintains respectful coworker relationships, and completes assigned tasks.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification or relevant state certification through ongoing training and education.
- Participates in training sessions, completes required courses, and stays updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico) and a willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
