Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or related products.
- Processes transactions at the cash register, including handling cash, refunds, exchanges, and assisting customers in locating products.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and ensures proper pricing and stocking as directed by management.
- Assists pharmacists with prescription processing, including entering patient and drug information, verifying prescriptions, and supporting workflow.
- Immediately reports prescription errors to the pharmacist and follows company policies regarding pharmacy accuracy and quality improvement.
- Adheres to policies on Good Faith Dispensing and complies with pharmacy codes of conduct.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, including communicating with physicians when necessary.
- Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports pharmacy inventory activities, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and manages related documentation.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like tobacco and alcohol.
- Constructs and maintains store displays, including promotional and seasonal setups, and assists with resets.
- Supports food and product placement policies, including stock rotation and segregation of raw and cooked foods.
- Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment, provides photo services, and manages web order pickups.
- Assists with store cleanliness and appearance, maintains respectful relationships with coworkers, and completes assigned tasks and special projects.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and/or state registration as required.
- Attends training sessions, completes continuing education, and stays updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
