Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or complementary products.
- Handles checkout processes, including registering purchases, collecting cash, giving change, and processing returns, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and records stock levels. Checks in and prices merchandise as directed.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information into pharmacy systems, filling prescriptions, verifying medication accuracy, and checking for interactions. Assists pharmacists with scheduling and workflow management.
- Immediately reports prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and complies with company policies regarding pharmacy errors and quality improvement programs. Adheres to the Pharmacy Code of Conduct and Good Faith Dispensing policies.
- Handles non-urgent telephone calls, including communication with physicians.
- Processes manual claims for third-party prescription services efficiently and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals. Maintains knowledge of asset protection techniques and files claims for discrepancies or damages.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains visual displays, including promotions and seasonal setups, and completes resets as directed.
- Assists with food and product placement, stock rotation, and adherence to safety and hygiene policies.
- Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Provides photo services, including passport photos, poster prints, and promotional products.
- Manages web order pickups, including monitoring, fulfilling, and delivering orders.
- Supports store cleanliness and appearance, ensuring a neat and orderly environment.
- Follows all company policies and maintains respectful coworker relationships.
- Completes additional tasks and special assignments as required.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification through training and continuing education, staying updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
