Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or companion products.
- Handles transactions at the cash register, including collecting cash, giving change, processing voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products in-store.
- Maintains cleanliness and merchandising of counters and shelves, takes inventory, and records stock levels. Checks in and prices merchandise as directed by store leadership.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information accurately, assisting in prescription filling, verifying medication correctness, and checking for interactions. Assists pharmacists with scheduling and workflow management.
- Immediately reports prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and follows company policies regarding pharmacy errors and quality improvement. Complies with the Pharmacy Code of Conduct and Good Faith Dispensing policies.
- Handles non-urgent phone inquiries, including calls to physicians.
- Processes manual third-party prescription claims efficiently and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals. Maintains knowledge of asset protection and files claims for discrepancies or damages.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
- Creates and maintains displays, including promotional and seasonal setups, and completes resets as directed.
- Assists with food and product placement, stock rotation, and adherence to safety and policy guidelines.
- Maintains knowledge of store systems and equipment.
- Provides customer service in the photo area, including passport photos, print services, and promotional products.
- Handles web order pick-up responsibilities, including monitoring, fulfilling, and delivering orders.
- Supports store cleanliness and appearance through interior and exterior maintenance.
- Follows all company policies, maintains respectful relationships, and completes assigned tasks and special projects.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or state registration.
- Attends training sessions, completes required continuing education, and stays informed on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
