Customer Service
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or companion products.
- Processes transactions at the cash register, including handling cash, returns, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products.
- Keeps counters and shelves clean, well-merchandised, and stocked. Manages inventory and records as directed.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information, assisting with prescription filling, verifying medication accuracy, and checking for interactions. Supports pharmacists with workflow management.
- Reports prescription errors immediately and follows company policies regarding pharmacy errors and quality improvement. Complies with the Pharmacy Code of Conduct and Good Faith Dispensing policies.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, including communication with physicians.
- Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.
- Supports inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals. Maintains knowledge of asset protection procedures and files claims for discrepancies or damages.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains displays, including promotional and seasonal setups, and completes resets as directed.
- Assists with food and product placement, stock rotation, and restocking.
- Operates store systems and equipment effectively.
- Provides photo area services, including digital passport photos and promotional photo products.
- Handles web order pick-up responsibilities, including monitoring and delivering orders.
- Maintains store cleanliness and appearance.
- Follows all company policies and maintains respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Performs additional tasks and special assignments as needed.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and/or state certification/registration through ongoing training.
- Attends training sessions, completes required coursework, and acquires continuing education credits to stay current in healthcare and pharmacy practices.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
