Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or companion products.
- Handles transactions at the cash register, including cash collection, refunds, exchanges, and assisting customers in locating products.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and ensures accurate pricing and stocking as directed by management.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information, assisting with prescription filling, verifying medication accuracy, and monitoring for interactions under supervision.
- Reports prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist and follows company policies regarding pharmacy safety and quality standards.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, processes third-party claims, and performs clerical tasks as assigned.
- Supports inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and maintains proper documentation for inventory discrepancies.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products and maintains store displays, including promotional and seasonal setups.
- Assists with food product organization, stock rotation, and store cleanliness to ensure a neat shopping environment.
- Provides photo services, including passport photos and promotional prints, and manages web order pickups.
- Supports store maintenance and adheres to all company policies, fostering respectful coworker relationships.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification or relevant state registration through ongoing training and continuing education.
- Participates in training sessions, acquires new skills, and stays updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico) and a willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
