Job summary

Walgreens is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist under supervision, process prescriptions, and support store operations. The role includes cash handling, customer service, and maintaining inventory and displays across the store.

The ideal candidate will have PTCB certification (or pursuing), retail experience (preferred), and strong math and computer skills to ensure accurate prescription filling and efficient service. Flexibility for evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Six months of retail experience preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Strong math skills to count, measure and weigh medications for prescriptions.
• Good computer skills and familiarity with store inventory control.
• PTCB certification is preferred.
• Pharmacy systems experience and POS familiarity are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist under supervision with prescription processing.
• Register sales at the POS and handle cash, returns, refunds, and exchanges.
• Maintain counters and shelves, and ensure displays are merchandised.
• Support pharmacy workflow and inventory management.
• Provide customer service across store areas including photo and OTC sections.
• Adhere to company policies and pharmacy code of conduct.
