Job summary

ShopRite of Glenolden is seeking a Pharmacy Department Associate to deliver a great customer experience while assisting in cash register operations, customer service, stocking, and cleaning to ensure efficient department operation.

The role requires adherence to HIPAA, drug laws, and safety standards, with duties including prescription processing, payment handling, and customer assistance in a fast-paced retail pharmacy setting.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must maintain proper state licensing or certifications.
Ability to read, write, speak English proficiently.
Ability to perform basic math.
Ability to stand/walk for a shift.
Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally (25 lbs regularly).
Ability to work in varying temperatures and tolerate dust/chemicals.
Ability to interact with customers and work with others.
Must comply with schedules, attendance policies, and confidentiality.
Proficient with required computer hardware and software.

Responsibilities

Greet Customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
Accurately ring presciptions and collect payment with correct change.
Comply with state/federal drug laws and HIPAA guidelines.
Maintain security and professionalism in the Pharmacy Department.
Handle patient information with confidentiality and accuracy.
Answer phones in a friendly, efficient manner and take prescriptions from patients.
Organize and stock pharmaceuticals as directed by Pharmacist.
