Job summary

ShopRite ShopRite of Burlington in Burlington, NJ is seeking a Pharmacy Clerk to support the pharmacy department with cash register operation, customer service, stocking and cleaning, ensuring efficient daily operations.

The role requires accuracy, ability to handle prescriptions, comply with pharmacy laws, maintain confidentiality, and provide friendly service to customers while upholding safety and quality standards. This is a full-time position with standard store hours.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must maintain proper state licensing or certifications.
• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and work in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Accurately ring the sale of prescriptions.
• Accurately and quickly collect proper payment and provide proper change.
• Comply with State and Federal drug laws as regulated by the State Board of Pharmacy, HIPAA, the DEA and FDA.
• Maintain appropriate security of Pharmacy Department.
• Exhibit professionalism and confidentiality when dealing with patients and health information.
• Answer the telephone in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Take prescriptions from patients/customers and verify name, address, phone number, date of birth, allergies, and insurance information.
• Organize and stock pharmaceuticals as directed by Pharmacist.
• Help Customers locate over-the-counter stock.
• Be familiar with products carried in the Department.
