Job summary

Cedar Point Health, a growing physician-owned group on Colorado's western slope, seeks a Pharmaceutical Specialist to move medication requests through systems with precision and communicate with necessary channels to deliver timely, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include handling refill requests, notifying patients of delays with proposed solutions, and ensuring compliance with SOPs and HIPAA. Minimum 1–2 years' pharmacy tech experience preferred; LPN/RN/MA backgrounds welcome.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret prescription orders (fax, escripts, verbal)
• Experience with online prescription systems and EHRs
• Knowledge of pharmacy terminology
• Understanding of HIPAA/patient confidentiality and compliance
• Excellent customer service and attention to detail
• Identify problems and assist in finding solutions
• Work effectively as a team member with physicians, providers and staff
• Communicate effectively and be an integral part of the team
• Good reasoning and judgment

Responsibilities

• Move medication requests through the systems with precision
• Communicate with patients when medications are delayed and propose solutions
• Resolve general issues
• Manage procedure flow chart with adherence
• Assess and analyze patient charts for needed information
• Communicate with providers and medical assistants per controlled substance protocols
• Process all requests in a timely manner
