Job summary

Downriver Medical Associates in Michigan seeks a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join the Call Center Department. You will support chronic care patients, oversee the medical refill line, assist with onboarding and obtaining patient consent, and coordinate care with PCPs and specialists under the guidance of a Medical Doctor.

You will reconcile medications from multiple providers, communicate with patients and providers, and ensure policy adherence.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy technician certification required.
• At least 1 year of pharmacy tech experience.
• Familiarity with EHR and pharmacy management systems.
• Read, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile medications from various pharmacies to ensure accuracy and safety.
• Coordinate care with patients, PCPs, and specialists to manage medication therapies.
• Act as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers for medication management.
• Document and relay patient concerns to pharmacists or healthcare team.
• Participate in training and continuing education on policies and medication management.
• Process medication refill requests through MyChart and voicemail per office policies.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss workflow improvements and patient care strategies.
• All related duties as required.
