Job summary

Walgreens in Chandler, AZ seeks a Pharmacy Technician to perform data entry and patient registration, and resolve third party rejects while handling high-volume inquiries under supervision. You will use pharmacy systems to access patient and drug information in accordance with HIPAA.

Responsibilities include processing new registrations, responding to calls and emails, assisting pharmacists, and maintaining a valid technician license within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Basic level PC skills including start up/shut down, printing, online access.
• Basic search engine skills and form filling online.
• Intermediate keyboarding (at least 25 WPM, touch typing).
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Process new patient registrations per Walgreens data entry procedures.
• Handle patient prescription requests within HIPAA guidelines and enter refill orders.
• Resolve third party rejects by reviewing, correcting and resubmitting as required.
• Assist Pharmacists in the facility and at other locations; escalate issues.
• Obtain and maintain an active technician license or certification within 90 days.
