Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in retail settings, entering patient information, and filling prescriptions. You will help manage daily workflow, support inventory control, and ensure accuracy in dispensing while maintaining excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include entering data into pharmacy systems, assisting with third‑party claims, and supporting the Pharmacy Manager with operational tasks.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy, Health System Pharmacy locations, or in locations where this role is covered under a collective bargaining agreement)

Responsibilities

• Assist in the practice of pharmacy under supervision of the pharmacist.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems and fill prescriptions.
• Help with scheduling and workflow in the Pharmacy.
• Report prescription errors and adhere to company policies on dispensing and QA.
• Maintain inventory and assist with store operations and customer service.
