Legacy Community Health in Houston seeks a Pharmacist Training & Development Specialist to design and oversee comprehensive training programs for our pharmacy team. You will mentor staff, identify knowledge gaps, align curricula with regulatory standards, and collaborate with the learning and development department to elevate patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited college/university of pharmacy (Pharm.D or B.S. with equivalent experience).
• Valid license from the Board of Pharmacy of the State of Texas.
• Must maintain First Aid/CPR.
• 5+ years of pharmacist experience.
• Experience in training and development.

Responsibilities

• Onboard pharmacy staff including pharmacists, technicians, and supportive staff following SOPs.
• Identify knowledge and performance gaps and direct training and quality assurance programs.
• Maintain employee documentation, competencies, and performance as per regulatory standards.
• Stay updated on pharmacy practice, 340b, and URAC regulations.
• Monitor and update policies and procedures to reflect regulatory changes.
• Design, develop, and execute training programs for all pharmacy service levels.
• Provide mentorship to new employees and perform performance audits.
• Assist in disciplinary actions regarding employee performance.
• Participate in quality improvement projects.
• Serve as a liaison to student and residency programs with affiliated pharmacy schools.
• Collaborate with the organization's learning and development department.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
