Legacy Community Health in Houston is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join the pharmacy team. You will assist the pharmacist with medication preparation, filling, and delivery while upholding safety and accuracy.

This role emphasizes attention to detail, patient service, and collaboration with physicians, insurers, and the pharmacy staff to ensure timely, compliant dispensing and excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Current PTCB certificate and TX State Board registration required.
• Ability to pass a retail math test and maintain CPR/BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with preparation, filling, and delivery of medications.
• Ensure safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing practices.
• Maintain stock, proper filling techniques, and inventory checks.
• Complete daily/monthly checklists and reflect priorities by workload.
• Communicate with physicians' offices and insurers as needed.
• Provide counseling time and document refusals when applicable.
• Support education and training of new employees and staff.
