Job summary

Giant Food's Pharmacy Team seeks a qualified Pharmacist to ensure safe dispensing, provide patient counseling, and support vaccination and MTM services in a retail setting.

You will supervise pharmacy staff, maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, manage workflow, and collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver high‑quality patient care.

This full‑time role requires a PharmD or BS in pharmacy, an active license, and strong communication in a fast paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of science in pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of employment.
• Immunization certification (e.g., APhA or state-recognised certification).
• Medication Therapy Management (MTM) certification where applicable.
• 2-5+ years of retail pharmacy experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Interpreting and verifying prescriptions and ensuring safe dispensing.
• Overseeing pharmacy workflow and inventory management.
• Providing patient counseling and MTM services.
• Supporting vaccination programs and health initiatives.
• Ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and quality controls.
