Job summary

Giant Food is seeking a Pharmacist to ensure safe and accurate dispensing in a retail setting while delivering exceptional patient care. You will verify prescriptions, counsel patients, and support immunization and health initiatives in-store.

The role requires a Pharmacist license, PharmD or BSc Pharmacy, and 2–5+ years in retail pharmacy. Leadership, teamwork, and compliance with regulations are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
• Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in the employment state.
• Immunization certification (APhA or state-recognized).
• 2–5+ years of retail pharmacy experience; prefer Pharmacist-in-Charge/lead roles.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and verify prescriptions with accuracy and safety.
• Provide medication counseling and MTM services.
• Support immunization programs and clinical services.
• Supervise pharmacists, technicians, and support staff.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with federal/state laws (HIPAA, DEA).
• Manage workflow, inventory, and budget considerations.
