Job summary

Giant Food is seeking a Pharmacist to ensure safe and accurate dispensing in a fast-paced retail setting. The role includes prescription verification, patient counseling, and support for immunization and clinical services. Strong clinical knowledge and attention to detail are essential.

Applicants should hold a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy with an active license in the applicable state, plus immunization and MTM credentials. Experience in a retail pharmacy environment is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited pharmacy program.
• Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of employment.
• Immunization certification or eligibility.
• MTM certification where applicable.
• 2–5+ years of retail pharmacy experience preferred.
• Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations and HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and verify prescriptions accurately.
• Provide medication counseling and MTM services.
• Support immunization programs and clinical service initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state pharmacy laws and DEA regulations.
• Oversee pharmacy workflow and maintain accurate records.
