Job summary

Giant Food is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to lead our Pharmacy Team in a retail setting in Washington, DC. You will verify prescriptions, counsel patients, deliver MTM and vaccination services, and collaborate with store leadership to ensure regulatory compliance and high-quality care.

The role requires a PharmD or BS in Pharmacy, an active license in the employment state, and 2–5+ years of retail experience; immunization credentials are essential and prior management experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy required.
• Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of employment.
• Immunization certification (APhA or state-recognized).
• MTM certification where applicable.
• 2–5+ years of retail pharmacy experience preferred.
• Experience as Pharmacy Manager, Pharmacist-in-Charge, or Lead Pharmacist is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, verify, and dispense prescriptions accurately.
• Provide medication counseling and MTM services.
• Support immunization programs and clinical services.
• Oversee pharmacy staff and workflow to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage inventory, budgets, and third‑party insurance processes.
