Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join our hospital pharmacy team in Atlanta, GA. You will provide patient-centered pharmaceutical services, information, and drug therapy recommendations to physicians and nurses across care units.

Responsibilities include verifying orders, monitoring drug interactions, and supporting safe and effective therapy for neonates to geriatrics. Schedule is Monday through Friday 6a–6p with some weekend shifts as outlined.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • One year hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Experience in Retail Pharmacy.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provides pharmaceutical services and drug information to nurses, physicians and other health care providers.
  • Verifies and dispenses medications, ensuring accuracy and safety.
  • Advises on drug interactions and contraindications to ensure optimal therapy.
  • Serves patients across all ages including neonates to geriatrics.

Responsibilities

As part of the health care team, practices Pharmacy as a knowledge-based clinical profession, and integrates patient-oriented services with traditional distributive and drug control activities. Provides pharmaceutical services including drug information to nurses, physicians, and other health care providers. Advises the same with respect to drug interactions, contraindications and other relevant information to ensure optimal and safe drug therapy. Serves all patients to include, but not limited to, neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.

Schedule:

  • M-F, 8h shifts between 6a-6p
    • Sat-Sun 8a-430p (up to one weekend per month)
Qualifications

REQUIRED:1. Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.

PREFERRED:1. One (1) year of previous hospital pharmacy experience.

2. Experience in Retail Pharmacy practice.

3. Good communication skills.
