Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta seeks a licensed Pharmacist to join our clinical team. The role provides pharmaceutical services, information to nurses and physicians, and ensures safe drug therapy for diverse patient populations.

The schedule includes Monday–Friday 6a-6p with weekend coverage (Sat-Sun 8a-4:30p, up to one weekend per month). Graduation from an accredited School of Pharmacy is required; hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• One year hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Experience in retail pharmacy and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide drug information and ensure safe therapy.
• Advise clinicians on drug interactions and contraindications.
• Serve patients across neonates to geriatrics.

As part of the health care team, practices Pharmacy as a knowledge-based clinical profession, and integrates patient-oriented services with traditional distributive and drug control activities. Provides pharmaceutical services including drug information to nurses, physicians, and other health care providers. Advises the same with respect to drug interactions, contraindications and other relevant information to ensure optimal and safe drug therapy. Serves all patients to include, but not limited to, neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.

Schedule:

• M-F 6a-6p
  • Sat-Sun 8a-430p (up to one weekend per month)

REQUIRED:
1. Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
PREFERRED:
1. One (1) year of previous hospital pharmacy experience.

2. Experience in Retail Pharmacy practice.

3. Good communication skills.
