Job summary

Northside Hospital in Decatur, GA is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our clinical pharmacy team. You will provide pharmaceutical services, drug information to care teams, and ensure safe, effective therapy for diverse patient populations.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, collaboration with physicians and nurses, review of drug interactions, contraindications, and support for neonates through geriatrics. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no weekend or on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• One year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Experience in Retail Pharmacy may be beneficial.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

As part of the health care team, practices Pharmacy as a knowledge-based clinical profession, and integrates patient-oriented services with traditional distributive and drug control activities. Provides pharmaceutical services including drug information to nurses, physicians, and other health care providers. Advises the same with respect to drug interactions, contraindications and other relevant information to ensure optimal and safe drug therapy. Serves all patients to include, but not limited to, neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.

Qualifications

• REQUIRED:1. Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• PREFERRED:1. One (1) year of previous hospital pharmacy experience.
• 2. Experience in Retail Pharmacy practice.
• 3. Good communication skills.

Work Hours:

8AM-4:30PM
