Job summary

Northside Hospital Inc. is seeking a qualified pharmacist to join our clinical team. You will provide drug information, support safe medication use, and collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other clinicians to optimize therapy for patients across all ages.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy, with hospital pharmacy experience preferred and excellent communication skills. Varied work hours include weekend shifts.

Qualifications

  • Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
  • Preferred: One year of hospital pharmacy experience.
  • Preferred: Experience in Retail Pharmacy practice.
  • Preferred: Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provides pharmaceutical services and drug information to nurses, physicians and other health care providers to ensure optimal and safe drug therapy.
  • Advises on drug interactions, contraindications and other information for safe patient care across all ages.
  • Integrates patient-oriented services with traditional distributive and drug control activities.

Responsibilities

As part of the health care team, practices Pharmacy as a knowledge-based clinical profession, and integrates patient-oriented services with traditional distributive and drug control activities. Provides pharmaceutical services including drug information to nurses, physicians, and other health care providers. Advises the same with respect to drug interactions, contraindications and other relevant information to ensure optimal and safe drug therapy. Serves all patients to include, but not limited to, neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.

PREFERRED:

  • One (1) year of previous hospital pharmacy experience.
  • Experience in Retail Pharmacy practice.
  • Good communication skills.
