Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta, GA seeks a licensed Pharmacist to join our hospital pharmacy team. You will provide drug information to nurses, physicians and other health care providers to ensure safe and effective therapy for all patient groups.

Responsibilities include advising on drug interactions and contraindications, supporting safe pharmacy operations, and delivering patient-centered care from neonates to geriatrics. Schedule: Mon-Fri 6a-6p with weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• One year hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
• Experience in Retail Pharmacy practice.
• Good communication skills.

• Provides pharmaceutical services including drug information to nurses, physicians, and other health care providers.
• Advises on drug interactions, contraindications and other relevant information to ensure safe therapy.
• Serves patients across neonates to geriatrics with patient-focused pharmacy care.

Responsibilities

As part of the health care team, practices Pharmacy as a knowledge-based clinical profession, and integrates patient-oriented services with traditional distributive and drug control activities. Provides pharmaceutical services including drug information to nurses, physicians, and other health care providers. Advises the same with respect to drug interactions, contraindications and other relevant information to ensure optimal and safe drug therapy. Serves all patients to include, but not limited to, neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.

Schedule:

• M-F 6a-6p
  • Sat-Sun 8a-430p (up to one weekend per month)

Qualifications

REQUIRED:1. Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy. PREFERRED:1. One (1) year of previous hospital pharmacy experience.

2. Experience in Retail Pharmacy practice.

3. Good communication skills.
